“The digital dictation system of Express Scribe and Express Dictate provided an immediate impact to our firm. Peapod helped us with the planning prior to the installation to provide us with different ideas as to the distribution of the work. The installation and full training was completed within a day and our secretaries immediately understood the system as the workings were actually very similar to tapes. Post installation Peapod were on hand through their telephone helpline to assist with any queries that we had, however small.

The improvements that we have noticed are that the quality of the dictation is much better, causing less mistakes in the typing. Further, the distribution of work has become more efficient with secretaries taking work from different fee earners if either they have caught up and the ability to either send the work to a pool or an individual secretary means that the fee earner can keep a close eye on their work. Less time has also been wasted in shepherding large piles of files around the office accompanied by a tape which only one secretary could work on as opposed to our current system of having individual items on individual dictation files which several secretaries can work on. Additionally the ability to recover work to add to or amend it has meant that less time and money is wasted on amendments to previously typed letters.
