About Us
In 1994Peapod LEGALOffice was founded. Our first product to be released was our 16 Bit PRINTAForm forms package which we believe started to change the way in which solicitors work.
Whilst most solicitors offices were still using typewriters and expensive paper forms we took it upon ourselves to help get them up to speed by helping them to exchange their now old and out dated typewriters for new computers, it was because of sudden demand in the change, our proven track record in supplying computer hardware and networking that this quickly established us in the legal market as a Trustworthy Solutions Provider.
In 1997
We took our PRINTAForm forms package to another level by converting it into the first 32 Bit forms package available to the legal firm, whilst other forms packages were still running 16 Bit applications and some even still using DOS. We started to break away in the market with our most robust and proven piece of software to date.
In 1999
We took our PRINTAForm package and developed our OFFICECase Case Management System designed to run side by side with our forms package and also incorporated all of our forms to one single price Later in the year we also introduced our 32_Bit STRONGBox Accounts package, which was already well established in the legal market running under DOS.
In 2001
As some law firms still endeavoured to come to terms with the 21st century so came the demand for fast reliable software and it was due to this demand that we decided to speed up our software and bring it up to the latest level in technology by converting it to run on MSDE and SQL Server. Following this conversion we not only found that Word Documents were now able to be produced in under 6 seconds* and our forms in even less time but we now could support up to 75 users.
In 2003
After our OFFICECase conversion we decide to also take our STRONGBox Accounts package to MSDE and SQL Server, along with the conversion we also decided to bring some combined interaction. When opening matters in one package the contact and matter details are replicated to the other package, this eliminates the need for the whole office needing to have the accounts system on their systems as they are able to view the ledger cards through the case management system; however we still managed to keep the two databases separate and avoid having one large and cumbersome one.
With the cost of replacing dictation tapes and even the machine we introduced our OFFICEDictate package. OFFICEDictate is a very competitively priced digital dictation system that can be used across your local network or even from home (or abroad) by e-mail, with full support for the Philips handheld devices you can even dictate whilst at court or visiting clients and have the work typed up when back in the office.
Present Day
Since the day we became established our business goal has always been to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of law firms using Information Technology, "IT", with emphasis on the smaller to medium sized practices, utilising their investment in computers to achieve this goal.
We now have a very large customer base and an ever growing number of users across all of our well established software packages,
The range of products and services we offer go far beyond our in-house solutions. We are able to supply everything from telephones to servers, PC's and obviously Microsoft Word to Case Management, Forms and Accounts.
